This species is from New Guinea. it comes with three colors, the common one are the red and yellow orange color. i was lucky when i saw this color. the nursery owner was hesitant to sell me this one, but i insisted on buying it. i was a regular there so i think that was my privilage. its like owning a nursery vvip card :P.
Dove Orchids Species ( merpati Putih)

I love wild orchids, especially. They are rare original n precious.not that hybrids are not precious, but most species are easy to breed and they have this musky sweet smells. Cross breed are fine, but they are not rare :)
ReplyDeletewill upload photos soon.
ReplyDeletei wonder how can i enter the orchid competition..i wish to enter the one coming in dec at the sacc mall, but none of my orchids are flowering right now. i have a very beautiful vase of dove orchid, the lmbs like bounces to reach the open sky. and the air roots makes the set more interesting and mystical at the same time. but unfortunately, if it flowers, it would only last for a day.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to uploads my collection of orchids photos I took for the past four years. Orchid has been One of my fav theme for my paintings. They are just unique, individualistic, unpredictably colorful and exotically charming in some ways. They are just fantastic and candy to me eyes. When I need some air and Place to think, I would lie down on the my garden chaise lounge surrounded by my orchids and listen to my African and Australian birds singing their tune. Love is wonderful. If you cant gain it from a person, don't fret. Get something that will definitely love you back. My son adores me and love me dearly, that's is upmost love anyone can ask for. It's the ultimate ' rezekl' from Allah s.w.t alhamdullillah

ReplyDeleteApe la Nama hybrid phal ni...sigh
ReplyDeletelike he said and the ppl before him...these tiny monters will easily adapted to the neem oil. got to alternately remove them with a home made pest control. all you got to do is blend chili paste with two to 3 clove of garlics, add a bit of oil (i used neem oil , dont want to burn my garden coz our country weather can be too hot ! :P if you dont own any neem oil you can use olive oil or any sort of oil; cooking oil maybe) blend them together and take the juice put it into the sprayer. spray ur plant with this home made onece a week. dont spray too much on the thin leaves coz as i experienced it, it will crinkle and damage ur plants leaves. like my thai hibiscus and roses. it crinkled and turned yellow. pls try. higly recommended!
